Identify a strength or strengths in your assessment:

The question that I achieved higher marks on was The Big Issue. Overall, I had shown my knowledge and a clear understanding throughout my answers. My focus on media language and representation were shown in my responses as well. Moreover, for The Big Issue I had a good consideration of social contexts.

What are the areas you need to improve?

Question 1) I could take into consideration the social and cultural contexts more.

Question 2) I need to be more explicit about the political events- eg Brexit. Remember and stress the importance of intertextuality.

Question 3) Avoid being too vague in some areas and to ensure that my ideas are presented clearly with the use of specific media language to help create meaning.

What do you need to focus on for your next assessment?

For my next assessment, my focus should be more on music videos; this is because I had achieved a lower mark out of the three questions. Therefore, I should ensure that my answers are clearly conveyed, alongside the specific media language to reinforce this.

In addition to this, in order to gain higher marks in my next assessment, I need to proof read my work thoroughly and carefully to ensure that any mistakes are corrected and that my sentences are easy to read and make sense.
